Maine, It's Way Way Simpler Here.
Spreading The Word For The Maine Association Of REALTORS (MAR)

As a Maine real estate broker and member of the National and Maine REALTOR Associations, part of my job is to spread the word from headquarters. In addtion to listing, marketing, selling Maine real estate, some blog posts need to be used for MAR/NAR to hitch a ride. Here’s what’s on today’s chalkboard to talk about, promote. up here in Maine.

PROMOTE THE REPEAT BUYER TAX CREDIT:  The MAR campaign to promote the $6,500 repeat buyer tax credit is in full-swing with radio ads, banner ads, social media ads, and homes magazine ads.  Please be sure to include our link in your own promotions - and educate your contacts about the tax credits - http://www.mainelistings.com/taxcredit. We have also designed an another flyer and logo you can use to promote the “Sweet” tax credit - with gingerbread house image. Feel free to post or distribute either flyer; and use any of the logo options on your company and agent sites.  Go to http://mainerealtors.com

CALL TO ACTION COMING - OVERBOARD DISCHARGE SYSTEMS: Tomorrow MAR will be sending a Call to Action (MAR E-GAD) to REALTORS in Counties with coastal impact. The Natural Resources Committee of the Maine Legislature is considering provisions in LD 1573 that mandate, upon sale of properties with overboard discharge systems, an analysis to determine if a technologically proven alternative to the overboard discharge system exists. It further mandates that if an alternative exists, it must be installed within 90 days of transfer of title. We need calls on THURSDAY explaining the impact and cost of this proposed time of transfer mandate. The Call to Action will have complete details about the proposal, along with instructions of who and how to call.  A decision by the Natural Resources Committee is expected on Friday. For more info: chris@mainerealtors.com
